BACKGROUND & CAREER
Q: Tell us a bit about yourself – where are you from and what do you do outside of work?
A: I’m from Maidstone, I have two children, and I enjoy the gym, football, music, and the outdoors.
Q: How did you first get into consulting, and what’s kept you in it?
A: I’m drawn to problem-solving and working across different industries rather than staying in a narrow role.
Q: What’s been the most memorable project or moment in your career so far?
A: A full IT overhaul of a well-established business in London that trusted me to manage the whole process. The relationship continues to go from strength to strength.
GOALS & AMBITIONS
Q: Let’s talk goals & ambitions. What do you hope to achieve in your first year at Cleartec?
A: Growth. It’s that simple. Growth as a person, growth as a business and growth of knowledge. It’s not about just achieving; it’s aiming for over-achievement.
Q: Is there a type of client challenge you’re particularly excited to get stuck into?
A: A business with outdated processes that fears change.
Q: Speaking of Cleartec’s work/offering, from what you’ve seen so far, what do you think makes Cleartec’s approach different from other consultancies?
A: Cleartec emphasises being vendor-neutral, meaning we’re not tied to any specific provider and focus on the quality of the decision, not selling a tool.
Q: Which of Cleartec’s services or specialisations do you think you’ll contribute to most?
A: My experience is within the Comms sector, and we have a large base of clients who I will be able to approach.
Q: What do you think clients are looking for right now, and how does Cleartec meet that?
A: I believe our clients are looking to adopt new tech that presents a good ROI on their investment.
Q: What’s your consulting philosophy? How do you approach a new client or brief?
A: We simplify complex technology decisions, stay vendor-neutral, and work alongside clients to deliver practical, long-term solutions
Q: What does a really well-delivered project look like to you?
A: A well-delivered project is one where the outcome actually works in the real world and keeps working.
INDUSTRY & TRENDS
Q: Is there an industry trend or challenge you think more businesses should be paying attention to?
A: AI. It has the potential to completely revamp outdated business processes.
Q: What’s a common misconception clients have, and how do you help them see things differently?
A: A common misconception is that the solution is the hard part—when actually, the real challenge is defining the problem properly.
